DESIGN
Samsung Galaxy A30:
Galaxy A30 definitely stands out for its edge-to-edge display. This is an unusual pleasant addition for such a low-cost handset. A30 features a full size AMOLED display measuring 6.4 inches. On the rear, you’ll find a standard fingerprint scanner, located to the right of the camera. It works quickly and you can set up more than one fingerprint to allow others to access the phone if you wish. There seems to be a slight curve in the rear panel of the A30, which differs it slightly from the other A series devices and yields a pleasant in-hand experience.
Samsung Galaxy A70:
A70 have a massive 6.7 inch display screen, stacked triple camera on the back, an audio jack of 3.5mm sits next to the USB type–C charging port, and a single speaker. Power button and voulume rockers are on the upper right side while the dual sim tray has appearance on the upper left edge. Back pannel is constructed from a “3D Glastic Material”. It’s curved sides fits well in the hand despite its large size. It’s also quite slender, measuring 7.9mm.
DISPLAY
Samsung Galaxy A30:
The display is definitely one of the standout features of the Galaxy A30. Like the rest of the Galaxy A series 2019 handsets, the Galaxy A30 features an AMOLED display measuring 6.4 inches with pleasing 2340×1080 resolution. That should mean clearer and sharper text as well as more engaging video content to watch. The Samsung Galaxy A30 uses a “teardrop” style notch on its front display – officially Samsung refers to this as the “Infinity-U display“.
Samsung Galaxy A70:
Screen quality is one of the best feature of A70. Galaxy A70 comes with “Infinity U display” with a 6.7 inch, 1080×2400 pixels with Super Amoled Panel. Display colors are accurate and vivid, different colour settings are available to suit personal preferences. Brightness is just perfect in direct sunlight and seeing whatever is on the display is not issue when using outside. The screen immerses you into video clips when they are displayed in widescreen style in landscape mode. Other special feature includes on-screen fingerprint reader.
CAMERA
Samsung Galaxy A30:
The Rear camera is dual designed with 16 MP and 5 MP, plus the selfie camera is 16 MP. “Selfie focus” feature allows you to blur the background and give you results like DSLR. AR Emoji and AR stickers allow you to add pops of colour and animations to your images.
With 16MP lens, paired with a 5MP wide-angle lens gives flexibility to not only be a decent portrait camera, but to also potentially be a quite good landscape as well. The camera uses AI to recognize scenes and objects. You can even adjusts the white balance, brightness level, and saturation instantly before you take the shot.
The A30 had difficulty in producing high-quality images in low light situations. Ultimately, it seems that camera specs are not going to be the highlight of the A30, though they are fairly satisfactory for a budget device.
Samsung Galaxy A70:
Galaxy A70 features both front and back 32-megapixel camera. It produces surprisingly good results. Colors and picture details are good, particularly in bokeh and daylight shot are impressive. While low-light and extended zoom are the main areas where A70 falls a littlebit.
32 MP selfie camera is very good for amateur photographers, who want to see their photos on the social media.
The camera software is easy to use, relying on simple swipes to the right and left to access shooting modes such as panorama, hyper-lapse and slow motion recordings as well.
Portrait shooting mode is wonderful, allowing you blur the background before capturing the image, so you can adjust the level of blur. A feature that is not available in A70 is low light or night mode.
SPEAKERS
Samsung Galaxy A30:
The speakers aren’t the greatest and that could possibly be because of the stereo speakers in the Galaxy S series. But the A30 does ok for the price, and that’s something that we must remember here.
Samsung Galaxy A70:
The single internal speaker is incapable of adding more base and mids, in other words, it can be shrill for music and movies. But the A70 does average here. The calling experience on the Galaxy A70 is good as you’d expect from a modern smartphone.
PERFORMANCE & SOFTWARE
Samsung Galaxy A30:
The Galaxy A30 is an Android 9 phone running Samsung’s One UI. Some of the features of the one UI include improved one-handed use, dark mode, gesture navigation, and gallery recycle bin.
The Octa-Core processor allows for better multitasking as each quad-core can operate apps separately from the other. This phone features 3GB of RAM which allows to run multitask smoothly.
Internal storage capacity is 32 GB with the option to add an additional 512 GB via microSD. For those who use their mobile phone primarily for calls, texts, social media, and web surfing, this phone could be a decent choice.
Overall, its performance is respectable and the user interface is fluid and easy to get used to. Unfortunately, if you’re interested in heavy gaming on your phone, the A30 doesn’t have the gaming capacity found among other devices, leading to lagging frames or lowered graphics quality.
Samsung Galaxy A70:
Galaxy A70 is loaded with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset with a maximum clock speed of 2 GHz, packed with 6 GB of RAM. There is a internal storage of 128 GB which can be enhanced further via micro SD.
Dipping in and out of Galaxy A70 user interface feels smooth and responsive even when juggling multiple applications. Unlocking the phone with fingerprint or face recognition barely takes a second.
Gaming possibilities are solid too, and a good choice for game lovers who like to play intense games like PUBG, COD, Asphalt 9, etc
WHICH SHOULD YOU BUY?
If your budget is tight or you don’t want to play heavy games then A30 that you shouuld consider.
Samsung Galaxy A70 stands out with some pretty high-quality features. If you’re looking for a phone that lasts all day long on a single charge with gaming, then you should buy this mobile.
