Samsung Galaxy Tab A:

I got a say for a budget tablet, this actually looks pretty good. It’s got a nice aluminum on the backside. The plastic around the edges looks really good personally. The only thing that seems a little odd to me is that the screen appears to be sitting up on top of the rest of the tablet.

On the right side of the tablet, you got the power and volume buttons. A rear facing camera up in the corner on the back. SD Card tray is on the left side. You will see a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top. Then along the bottom, you’ve got the speaker’s, microphone, and charging port. Towards the top is a front-facing camera and proximity sensor.

Lenovo Tab M8:

I really love Lenovo ‘s latest tab-series style. All-metal build, really slim, very good IPS panel, decent battery life, and the audio jack they left for headphones. This tablet feels really premium overall. I do wish they had begun to use USB-Type-C. It would have been a nice addition to this premium feeling tablet.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A:

The screen is only 720p. It doesn’t look as high-res for some things but for the price it’s actually pretty decent. The display is Plenty bright. Text and home screen icons aren’t just as clear but I can see that Samsung did that to hold the price down and you’ll get the improved battery life.

Lenovo Tab M8:

The display comes with 720p resolution which means that the pixel density is lower than on almost all smartphones. Color reproduction is average. The viewing angles are great because of it’s IPS pannel. While its brightness is not perfect. Overall, I would say that Samsung’s display is much better.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A:

Gaming on this tablet is always fun for me. You can  play the most popular games like PUBG and Call of Duty: Mobile but heavy games like Asphalt 9 on this tablet don’t run very smoothly. Now for PUBG and Call of Duty, It just works fine. It recommends the lowest setting for PUBG but it doesn’t seem to get stuttered and actually runs very smoothly. Same thing with Call of Duty, that’s surprising because you think shooting games will fail but ‘NO’ actually works just fine with both.

Lenovo Tab M8:

On the CPU side, we have the MediaTek Helio A22. I actually really enjoy this little CPU and lower in budget phones. This is a quad-core CPU. In daily usage, I was able to browse the internet with several opened tabs, watch YouTube and Netflix, without any problems. And it dose have problems with multitasking.

When it comes to gaming, you will able to play PUBG but there will be some lags and stutters. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this tablet for gaming but if you want to play light games like temple run, subway surfers then it would be fine.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A:

In reality, the rear-facing camera is pretty decent on this and the shutter speed also seems pretty fast. To me the color looks a little off compared to what it looks like in real life but I don’t think there’s going to be a problem in good lighting situations.

The battery life on this tablet is actually really good. I did a battery drain test of continuous video streaming with the screen at 100% brightness and it lasted over 7 hours. To me, that’s really good definitely better than what I expected from a budget device. It doesn’t have fast charging, so that’s sort of a bummer and it took about 3.5 hours to charge completely which is pretty similar to other tablets.

Lenovo Tab M8:

The camera is very horrible and I believe that you wouldn’t be buying this tablet for camera. You will get a 5MP rear camera and you can record HD videos. Selfie camera comes with 2MP and image quality looks worst. Overall, I won’t recommend you this tablet for camera.

When it comes to battery, I have to say that it beats the Samsung Galaxy Tab A. In my test, I was streaming youtube with 100% brightness and it lasted for 8 hours. Overall, the battery life is pretty good.

WHICH ONE IS BETTER TABLET?

Overall, I would recommend Samsung Galaxy Tab A because it has better display, camera, and performance but I liked the design of Lenovo Tab M8 which will not matter to you. One more good point of Lenovo Tab M8 is battery life. There is just $30-$40 difference in their price.
