I personally think that the build quality is really good. It’s made of plastic but it doesn’t feel like it’s cheap material. Now, on the top, the laptop has a smooth texture that doesn’t attract fingerprints with a logo that somehow gives a green reflection.

On the inside, we have a blue keyboard. It’s very comfortable and I haven’t had any problems getting used to it. The keyboard is backlit with a blue color which is convenient if you’re gonna use it at night.

It isn’t the thinnest computer you’ll find but considering it to be mainly a gaming computer, it isn’t too bad. Now, comparing it to a Chromebook, there’s a big difference in size but it isn’t a Chromebook.

The thing about this computer which disappoints is the hinge system on this. This is the most sturdy and isn’t very solid, I mean the hinge is not too bad but the design can be better in my opinion.

The keyboard is also really good with backlit keys that have three modes; off, medium, and high which can be switched with one button. The trackpad on this is not as large as the MacBook but it’s a good size which is definitely enough.

DISPLAY

This laptop has 1920 by 1080 resolution 60 Hertz 15-inch screen. It does have another option with a 144-hertz display panel which will perform better than the 60-hertz refresh rate panel. Overall, the display quality is quite good with Full HD technology.

After a quick set up, we can see that the screen is quite good. It gets pretty bright even in highly lit environments. The screen is quite good with 1080p and 60fps which makes watching video is really nice. The bezels of this computer are also not too bad, although they don’t go to the very edge they still look pretty good.

BATTERY

The battery life is actually pretty good. It lasts about three to four hours when you’re doing simple tasks but when you’re gaming, it gets shortened to about an hour to two hours.

Dell G3 15 3590

This computer has trouble with it, it doesn’t last very long, especially when using heavy applications or games. This computer is used mainly for being plugged in to maximize his capability.

WHICH TO BUY?

Overall, I think the Dell G3 3500 gaming laptop is worth the price and it’s definitely a solid laptop with great performance and with improvements compared to the old version of this laptop.

I highly suggest getting it if you’re just gonna do entry-level gaming at like 1080p or just 1440p. I think G3 3590 is a great gaming laptop but it won’t be too good to carry around.

In my opinion, there is not much difference in the price range of both laptops. If it is, then also it will be around $200. So, I think the higher-end model of the latest G3 3500 will be better in performance, thermal control, and everything.
